Background

Chris is a leader, experienced Police Manager and a professionally qualified trainer with a history of achievement in public order & personal safety training. He was selected to lead specialist training where his capacity to objectively analyse personal safety issues and ability to positively challenge working practices, helped to innovate, identify and then establish good practice force-wide.

He was responsible for establishing new Force Policy in such areas as officer safety training and he planned and conducted a four-day implementation of TASER training for all 14,000 members of GMP, while establishing fitness and lifestyle management for all new recruits to the force.

A key and unique achievement was overseeing transportation of prisoners from UK to USA & Europe where he played a lead role in developing training then recruiting delegates to qualify them for escort of high-risk prisoners without a single case of civil litigation.
